Q: What is the MRC Card? Where can I use it?
A: The MRC Card is a privilege card. It entitles you to benefits such as savings and special offers during promotions, pre-sale invitations, special rates or pre-registration for workshops and events, MRC sale days, mailing and free delivery in the Klang Valley (for purchases above RM300). You can use your MRC Card in any MPH Bookstores throughout Malaysia. As members, you will also receive quarterly newsletters. At present, the mailings are 3 newsletters and the MPH Annual Christmas Catalogue. There are also regular merchandise promotions at discounted rates for members which will be advertised in major newspapers or highlighted in our stores. Do note, however, that in-store promotions may differ from store to store.

Q: What do you mean when you say that I can earn points while I spend?
A: This is our rebate programme where we reward you for being a member. For every RM 1 spent, you will be awarded 1 MRC point. At the end of the qualifying period, (30 June and 31 December), a 5% rebate will be given for accumulated purchases of RM 300 - RM 999.99 and a 10% rebate will be given for accumulated purchases above RM 1000 or more. The 5% and 10% rebate will be given in the form of a redemption certificate. There will be no accumulation of points on backdated receipts, special savings, offers and sales unless otherwise stated. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for the redemption certificate to reach you at the end of each period.

Q: What are the qualifying periods?
A: There are 2 qualifying periods in a year - 1 January to 30 June, and 1 July to 31 December. Purchases of at least RM 300 have to be made within either period. Qualifying periods are independent of each other and points from one qualifying period cannot be carried forward to the subsequent period. FOR EVERY NEW PERIOD, POINT ACCUMULATION WILL BEGIN FROM NIL.

Q: Do I have to fill in my card number or present my card every time I buy something?
A: Yes, you have to fill in your card number or present your card to the cashier every time you purchase something from our webstore or the store respectively to ensure accumulation of points. Please fill in your MRC Number before you click the confirm order button or before payment. Otherwise, no points will be awarded.

Q: What if I forgot to key in my card number or bring my card? Or what if I only presented my card after the transaction is made? Am I entitled to the points for that particular transaction?
A: Unfortunately, we will not be able to accumulate the points of that particular transaction for you. So, to ensure accumulation of points, always remember to key in your card number when buying online or present your card to the cashier before order confirmation or payment.

Q: How long is my redemption certificate valid for?
A: 6 months from the date of issue. You can also exchange it for gift vouchers.

Q: Can I use the redemption certificate for redemption online?
A: At the moment, redemption certificate can only be used at our physical stores.

Q: How long is my card valid for?
A: 2 years from the month of issue.

Q: How can I renew my card?
A: To renew your card, you can either pay RM 10 or make a minimum purchase of RM 100 in a single receipt. The RM 100 spent is eligible for accumulation of points. As your new card is being processed, you may present your temporary card (which is valid for 2 months) to the cashier for accumulation of points. For online purchases, please key in the MRC number written on the temporary card to ensure point collection before you click the confirm order button. You must renew your card within 2 years from expiry otherwise you will need to apply afresh with a RM 200 purchase.

Q: What if I lose my card?
A: Just pay RM 10 to get a replacement card.

Q: How long do I have to wait for my renewed or replacement card?
A: About 3 to 4 weeks.

A: You may call the Marketing Department at 03-7781 1800 during office hours from Mondays to Fridays or the Customer Service Hotline at 03-2938 3818 from 10am to 10pm daily to inquire or you can email to
